| Sinopsis: | Edad Recomendada FICI: TP (Todos los Públicos) Muthu, un chico de 9 años, y Malee, una chica de 7, son dos buenos amigos que viven en una remota aldea de Sri.Lanka amenazada por una manada de elefantes. Los niños, sin embargo, le cogen cariño a una cría de elefante, y fraguan con ella una verdadera amistad, llegando hasta tal punto, que el elefante aprende a acudir al silbido de Muthu. Pero los niños deben mantener oculto a su amigo, porque los aldeanos consideran que los elefantes son sus enemigos. Cuando un hombre de negocios utiliza la amistad de los niños con el elefante para fomentar el turismo de la zona, estalla la discordia en la aldea: el padre de Muthu se opone, pero el padre de Malee está de acuerdo con sacar dinero de la cria. Pronto la aldea se convierte en un lugar turístico, y la cultura y la belleza natural del pueblo empiezan a cambiar. Un día el mal comportamiento de un grupo de turistas enfadan tanto a los elefantes que acaban provocando una tragedia. 9 year old boy Muthu, and 7 year old girl Malee are good friends in an elephant threatened remote village. They become friendly with a baby elephant who comes to eat the crops. The friendship between children and the baby elephant develops into a strong bond, so that the baby elephant learns to respond to the whistle by Muthu. But children have to keep the new friends a secret, because villagers regard elephants as enemies.A businessman exploits this friendship to attract tourists. Muthu’s father is against the idea, but Malee’s father agrees.Soon the village becomes a tourists spot, and the culture and the natural beauty of the village begins to change.One day, the bad behavior of a group of tourists, upset the elephants and leads to a tragedy. |
